Become a Volunteer
As a volunteer at Centrica Care Navigators, you’ll receive extensive training and support so you can feel prepared and confident for your role.
Before applying, please consider the following requirements:
- Becoming a volunteer involves thorough training and background checks. Hospice volunteers are considered full members of the staff, which requires a criminal history check based on fingerprints, driving record checks and tuberculosis tests.
- You’ll need access to a computer and email account to complete online training.
- Many are drawn to this work after experiencing the positive power of hospice care during the passing of a loved one. This personal connection is incredibly valuable. However, please allow one year between the death and your becoming a volunteer.
Our volunteer coordinators will contact you within a few days. We’ll schedule an interview so we can meet, answer any questions and decide together if becoming a Centrica volunteer is right for you.
