Community to release butterflies in memory of loved ones
Centrica Care Navigators is welcoming more communities to our annual Butterfly Release with three events this summer:
Saturday, May 18: Lake Front Park, Paw Paw
Saturday, July 20: Leila Arboretum, Battle Creek
Saturday, August 17: Fish Hatchery Park, Hastings
The Butterfly Release is an opportunity for children, teens, adults, and seniors in the community to come together and honor family and friends. After a reading of their loved one’s name, each family releases a beautiful butterfly.
The Butterfly Release is open to everyone in our community, even if a loved one did not receive care from Centrica Care Navigators. The event helps our grief support programs, which are available free for anyone in southwest Michigan.
“We’re excited this year that we can share the Butterfly Release with so many people across southwest Michigan,” said Centrica Care Navigators’ Chief Branding and Marketing Officer Denise King.
The event is open to the public and free to attend. To learn more and purchase a butterfly for release during any of the events, visit the Butterfly Release webpage.
Registration for each event begins at 9:30 a.m. the day of the event. Activities begin at 10:00 a.m. Online registration is also available.
