In celebration of the 25th anniversary edition of Tuesdays with Morrie, Centrica Care Navigators is proud to announce performances of its theatrical adaptation at the Kalamazoo Civic Theatre Wednesday, August 24, through Sunday, August 28.
Tuesdays with Morrie author Mitch Albom will appear at an exclusive VIP reception and join in a Q-and-A session after the first performance August 24.
The event will benefit Centrica Care Navigators’ programs for end-of-life care, including adult day activity, grief support, and hospice care.
In the now-classic story, sportswriter Mitch visits his former college professor, Morrie, and talks with him about death, relationships, and what’s really important in life.
Though Albom wrote Tuesdays with Morrie while working in Michigan, the August 24 show is the first time the play will be performed in this area.
In preparation for the play, the Oshtemo branch of the Kalamazoo Public Library will host a community book discussion August 18.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for the VIP event. The Civic Theatre is at 329 S. Park St. in downtown Kalamazoo.
