Centrica Care Navigators and Girl Scouts Heart of Michigan are excited to announce a new partnership that will see the Centrica Journeys program meeting space move to the Girl Scouts Heart of Michigan Program and Training Center located at 601 W. Maple Street. Both organizations have a mission focused on helping children, and this new centrally located space will provide better access and increase utilization of the Centrica Journeys program.
“We know and appreciate the incredible care and compassion the Centrica Care Navigators team gives to its patients, their families, and those who grieve for lost loved ones,” said Girl Scouts Heart of Michigan CEO Jan Barker. “We are so happy to offer an accessible location with the space needed for the Centrica Journeys grief support program to be successful.”
Since 2002, Centrica Journeys has provided help for thousands of children between the ages of 5-18 as they grieved the loss of a loved one. The program is free and open to any child in the community who needs our support.
A family who recently participated in the Centrica Journeys program said they appreciated the care that was provided:
“Through the Journeys program, I learned that my children need time and patience, as with everything, to process and understand their feelings. It is a wonderful program, and I am so very grateful for the opportunity to be a part of it.”
The first Centrica Journeys meeting at the new location will be held on Tuesday, May 23, from 5:45 p.m.to 7:45 p.m. For more information or to register for Centrica Journeys, please visit our website at CentricaCare.org or call us at 269.345.0273.
